Executive Director, Co-Founder & Counselor
Leigh-Ann is a Licensed Clinical Counselor, and the author of My True Reflection; Freedom from Eating Disorders. She is a graduate of Ashland Theological Seminary and has worked in both clinical and ministerial settings, counseling, teaching, leading and training others. Leigh-Ann currently serves as a Director of Women's Ministry overseeing leadership and spiritual growth of women, prayer, women's events and counseling. She is passionate about the the power of prayer, and the work of the Holy Spirit to help others overcome overwhelming obstacles in their spiritual, emotional and relational areas of life. She believes in the impact integration of faith and counseling can bring within the family, the church and the community. Leigh-Ann also speaks, writes and trains counselors, leaders in churches, parachurches, and other organizations in spiritual formation, integration of faith and counseling and effective leadership.
Nelda graduated from the University of Akron with a Degree in Early Childhood Education. She has actively participated at RAHAB Ministries serving trafficked and high risk women and children on their Staff, Mentoring Program, Board of Directors and Summit County Jail Clergy Team for over 10 years. She had received ongoing Trauma informed training under Emerge Ministries, Free To Be Ministries and RAHAB. Nelda has a certification of completion from the American Association of Christian Counselors in Caring for People God's Way and Breaking Free courses. She had been a part of counseling women in a Life Group setting for over 20 years. She had spent the past 7 years leading high school girls in a formative life group. She specializes in trauma informed care and integration of faith based holistic counseling.
Counselor & Donor Relations
Alisha is currently a graduate student of Liberty University working on her Masters in Pastoral Counseling. She will graduate as a Pastoral Counselor with a focus on Crisis Response and Trauma in May 2021. She chose that specialization because of her passion for first responders and their families, being the wife of a soldier and cop herself. She has completed integrative prayer training with Free To Be Ministries and has been a volunteer with them for a year. Alisha was also in full time college ministry from 2014 to 2020 and specialized in discipleship and evangelism with training from the Institute of Biblical Studies. She is passionate about seeing teens and young adults experience freedom from past wounds and negative thinking through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Counselor & Creative Team Manager
Paige is currently a graduate student at Malone University working on her Masters in Clinical Counseling. She will graduate as a licensed professional counselor in 2021. She has completed integrative prayer training with Free to Be Ministries and has been a volunteer with Free to Be for two years. Paige is a counselor currently meeting with specifically teens and young adults.
Child and Adolescent Counselor
Carlee has completed coursework in psychology, child and family development, and religion. In 2019 she completed training with Free To Be Ministries in Integrative prayer and counseling services. She has a special interest in trauma informed care for teens and adolescence. Carlee interned at the Chapel in Akron's Urban Ministries Department for 7 years, working with children in their afterschool and summer camp programming. There, she specifically served children with emotional, mental, and behavioral needs. She has many years of experience serving in youth ministries, discipling/mentoring adolescent girls. She has served clients in an administrative role at EMERGE Counseling Services. Currently, along with working with children and adolescence at Free To Be, she also works part time for RAHAB Ministries serving women who have been victims of human trafficking or at high risk of being trafficked.
