I believe the Lord wastes nothing. The personal experiences He allows in our lives are a catalyst that can deepen our utter dependence and belief in a God who heals and sets us free. Healing happens most effectively through the presence of God  and through the work of the Holy Spirit to bring rest, wisdom and freedom to the whole person. “Where the Spirit of the Lord is there is freedom.” 2 Corinthians 3:17

Experience

The personal experiences I have had coupled with my background in education and training, clinical counseling, writing and speaking, and ministry leadership work, have collectively fueled a passion to lead a ministry that serves those who are hurting and in need and supports the local church and ministry organizations to provide avenues of healing, hope and training for their team and the people they serve. My time is spent as Co-Executive Director; Integrative Services with Free To Be Ministries, training and supervising the integrative prayer and counsel team and ministry leadership, counseling those who are hurting, and speaking and writing. It has been a journey of creating spaces for people to experience the love of the living God, teaching people how to listen and discern His voice, and learning about how the triune God has made us in His triune image to be whole and one with Him - on earth as it is in heaven. However my time is spent or my skill sets are used, I pray that it is for this purpose and for His glory.

Education

  • Bachelor of Arts degree in Education from Kent State University, 

  • Master of Arts Degree in Clinical Pastoral Counseling from Ashland Theological Seminary, 

  • Certified Director of Women’s Ministry. 

  • Author of My True Reflection; Freedom from Eating Disorders.

Personal Note

I have been married to my husband Todd for 30 years. We have 3 adult children and the ones they call love. We are enjoying this season of rediscovering and redefining relationship with each other, our children, and our extended family.  As we ebb and flow in highs and lows of life we have found that in every situation God is with us. He is a God of Creation, Salvation and Revelation. He is all powerful and personal. He created all things and holds all things together. Scripture, family, beauty, community, and nature are sacred spaces where He reveals Himself and His story. His voice has the power to heal and make all things new when we lean in and listen.
