My personal story of healing and growth through Biblically-integrated counseling informs much of my approach as a counselor. In the freedom I have found through counseling, I am passionate about leading others to a sense of freedom and wholeness. My goal is to help others feel at peace with themselves, cultivate safety in their relationships and environment, and find healing from past trauma and current hurt.

Experience

I have a degree in Psychology from Liberty University and I am currently completing my Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have finished my coursework and now am gathering the required counseling hours in order to graduate from my program at Liberty University. I am also working towards licensure as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. I am passionate and experienced in working with children and teens, doing so for the past several years in many different occupations including teaching, special needs, and nannying. I am dedicated to guiding others in a counseling journey that helps them unpack and understand their life story through a lens of spiritual, emotional, and relational healing. I focus on clinical interventions, Biblical integration, and trauma-informed counseling. I am passionate about hearing the stories of others and helping them make sense of their past, engage in the present, and cultivate hope for the future.

Scripture

The bondage of your barren winter has ended, and the season of hiding is over and gone. The rains have soaked the earth and left it bright with blossoming flowers. The season for singing and pruning the vines has arrived. The budding vines of new life are now blooming everywhere. The fragrance of their flowers whispers, "There is change in the air." Song of Songs 2:11-13.

Personal Note

I enjoy anything that takes me outside and anything that requires artistic expression, so the list is never-ending! Dance, yoga, hiking, music, kayaking, cooking, reading and writing...those are all things I love. I also enjoy quality time with my husband, Jonathan, and our two kitties, Rosie and Pip.
